Joy Jones is a passionate children's writer, playwright and EdTech content curator.

Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in Journalism and a minor in English. She holds a master’s in Business Management from the University of Denver.

An advocate for racial diversity and representation in media and children’s literature, she is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. â€‹In 2021, she self-published a children’s picture book titled, Charlie and the Great Maskarade. The story was written to help young children adjust to COVID-19 mask mandates within elementary schools. In 2018, she wrote a play, titled Rooted, which was produced for the Theatre Made in Boulder festival.

Children's books were so influential in her life, and she is passionate about partnering with the Lord to write stories that will deeply resonate and bless readers of all ages for this generation and generations to come. She pray's that the stories she writes will allow readers to see themselves in characters, encounter the love and hope of Jesus Christ and know that they are not alone.
